TOKYO FORCES ON NACHEME DEFEATED

The United Nations of Nacheme have announced that the Tokyo Confederacy forces remaining on their world, from the previously reported Confederate attack, have been defeated.

Leadership of the System of Dukandreo (0202), report that the forces were located in a near-surface cave system on the outskirts of a settlement, and express their gratitude to the citizens providing tips to their location.

According to witness, the Tokyo troops would not surrender, and were surrounded and killed in a lengthy stand-off.

A spokesperson from the UNoN has stated that Nacheme will not be taking further action. "We simply wish to exist and live under our own rule. We will defend this at any cost."

TOKYO CONFEDERACY ATTACKS NACHEME

It appears the Sāchā-Class ships, assembled by the Tokyo Confederacy in a recent endeavour, were intended for more than just reconaissance, reports say.

Leadership of the System of Dukandreo (0202), identifying as the United Nations of Nacheme, report they were attacked by Confederacy zealots smuggled to the system by the scouting fleets.

Witnesses report an attack on the UN of Nacheme's standing military was successfully repelled, although the attacking force successfully retreated to an unknown location on the mineral-rich world.

Intersystem travellers are recommended to avoid Dukandreo in the near future, as further conflict is likely.

DELTA CORP HOSTS INAUGURATION OF NEW DIRECTOR

The lavish headquarter campus of Delta Corporation was host to a noteworthy event yesterday: The inauguration of the miltech contractor's new Director, Havina Sperlov.

Fine food, exotic entertainment, and new tech demonstrations were all set up to wow investers, stakeholders and employees alike, including, in a rare public appearance, Magnus Belisarius, Commander of the Arcadian Federation.

Such a distinguished guest was sure to draw attention, but this was not the only to draw eyes at the celebration. The new Director was pleased to present a demonstration of prototypes for Delta Corp's developing catalogues, including their experimental work in hand-held magnetic accelerator firearms. The presence of the commander leave some to speculate that armanent provision contracts may be on the table between Mahni's government and the miltech giant.

Havina Sperlov has large shoes to fill, taking on from her predecessor, Toma Kumo, who was killed tragically, and unexpectedly by a "team of underground psionics", but her confidence and impressive track record suggest she may be up to the task.

MAHNI SOCIALITE REPORTS MISSING PARTNER

Jeneva Carthen, the Mahni-based actress, most known for her lead roles in 'Truth in the Storm' and 'The Psion Stalker', put out a teary-eyed public appeal on the planet's major media networks today. She claims that her romantic partner, Tobias Gammon, has not been seen for several days.

"This is not like Tobias," she said, in an interview with Mahni news teams; "We went to bed together. When I woke up, it was like he has just stopped existing. All of his things, his credsticks, his ID cards, are all still in the house..." "Fed-Pol won't help me look for him, " she continued, looking directly into the camera lens; "They say there's no evidence that anything has happened to him. They want me to just accept he just got up and left."

The interview was cut short when Jeneva became too upset to continue. Ms Carthen's representatives request that anyone with information on Tobias come forward as soon as possible. When we reached out to FedPol on the situation, they had this to say:

"We are saddened to hear thet Ms Carthen feels the case is not receiving the care and attention it should. The Federation is treating this dissapearance with as much dilligence as it does for all Federation citizen's needs. While our investigative resources are limited, we endeavour we are doing everything we can to find Mr Gammon."

ARCADIAN FEDERATION ESTABLISHES NEW BASE OF OPERATIONS

The Arcadian Federation has begun to expand its influence over the sector this week, establishing an outpost on a rocky planet in the system of Hiera 0607. Restoring the world's historical name of Aeribor, a spokesman for the Federation made this statement over its local news networks:

"In our efforts to restore humanity to it's valiant heights, the Federation has begun an initiative to reclaim the settlements lost to the Scream. Aeribor was once a major mining outpost that provided an invaluable source of resources for the colonised worlds, and will do once more. The Federation thanks you for your compliance."

The cold snows and thick atmosphere of the former colony do not make Aeribor a tempting choice for new colonists, but the opportunity for prosperity will likely attract many.

LOTUS SYNDICATE ESTABLISHES NEW SPICE MINES

The financial heights of the Lotus Syndicate are poised to increase once more, as reports from the idyllic world of Savris suggest that the exclusive plutocracy is beginning construction on a new financial endeavour. The purpose of these new facilities is rumoured to be a discovery of the presence of several exotic and valuable spices in select locations on the planet’s surface. These new investments are but one of hundreds in recent years, with Lotus Syndicate owning or holding stock in many of the independant corporations of Arcada. The Syndicate declined to comment.

TOKYO CONFEDERACY EXPANDS NAVY

The shipyards of New Tokyo have been experiencing a rush of activity recently, say our reporters stationed in the Tokyo Confederacy’s orderly city. Most Confederate engineers and shiprights spend the majority of their time providing maintenance and repairs on the aging military vessels that patrol the skies, and on the ships that only the most prestigious civilians have been permitted to own. However, in recent days, these shipyards have sprung to life, seemingly constructing a new line of exploratory vessels. When reached for comment, a representative of the Tokyo Confederacy had this to say:

"This new fleet of Sāchā-Class scouts represent our new commitment to exploring and reclaiming the many systems lost to time. The Confederacy pledges to expand our reach of Security, Prosperity and Purity as far as it is able."

These new ships are believed to be the first additions to the Confederate Navy in decades.
